Christmas Day Madness!!!

Jack had a wonderful Christmas yesterday! When he woke up and ran into the living room and saw all of his presents, I thought he was going to fall over! He immediatly went for his new Batman castle that Grandpa Bruce (Kevin's dad) got him. It took a while to get Jack interested in opening his other gifts, but after a while he got into the swing of things. I'm pretty sure we could open up our own toy store with the amount of presents that boy received!

I had a pretty wicked headache and have been sick (I blame the H1N1 shot I just got on all of it) so I slept a good part of Christmas while Jack watched movies and played with all of his new toys. Kevin made the entire Christmas dinner while I slept which I am very grateful for. I'm pretty sure I would have just made things worst if I attempted to assist. He made a spiraled ham for him and Jack which Jack loved! He also made fresh mashed potatoes and rolls. I did the salad once I woke up and it was a pretty sad looking salad. My mom came over for dinner and ended up just taking care of me after we ate.

Today I'm not doing much better. I woke up multiple times throughout the night sick, then ate some dutch apple pie, and then got sick some more. Today I am just resting and relaxing while Jack plays with all of his new toys. So glad Christmas is finally over!

Christmas Eve Madness!!!

Here are a bunch of pictures from Christmas Eve (I'm typing this at 1am on Christmas Day now.) Most pictures are self explanatory. I didn't have time to organize them properly... sorry!

Angus MacGyver the cat says: If no one else will hug you, hug yourself. *hug*

Wrapped presents at the end are from Lisa. 26 pounds of presents. My weight gain in the past two years is about that amount. Hauling the presents from the box to the assembly line winded me. I am a fat fat water rat!

Unwrapped gifts are from Kevin and I. Do you spot a kitty by the tree? Oh, and shoes and underwear are practical gifts. Some members of this household said they don't count as gifts, but as a Reese, they count. I mean, I gave Oliver a box of diapers for his Christmas present! Also, we (me) chose not to wrap the gifts for Jack this year because he received so many. We (me) aren't lazy, just trying to cut down on toddler break downs.

Holiday Cards!

Pippa better check herself cause Oliver is about to jack her cookies!

Yay! More holiday cards!

NOM! NOM! NOM! Oliver stole Pip's snicker doodle that GrAuntie Linda sent them!

Jack likes to share. And then when you go to take the cookie, you get the stink eye.

Go Ollie, Go!

Holiday Madness!

Well, Christmas is just days away! The house is decorated, the presents are wrapped, and the holiday ham has been bought! Tomorrow evening we are having a big family dinner at Nick and Laura's consisting of pizza. Not traditional Christmas food, but we're lazy and like pizza. My mom has been in town for a few weeks and will be here through January and I've been having a blast with her! After our family pizza tomorrow, we'll take Jack to see the Christmas lights which he absolutely loves seeing. He says "oooooh! TREE!!!!" when he sees them. So cute!

As you can see from above, Jack is quite the special one. That is a 26 pound box of Christmas gifts from the Lynch family. Jack spends a lot of time laying on top of the box. I thought for sure Grandma Lisa just FedExed herself here to spend Christmas with Jack, but she assures me that she is not in the box.

I received the Kitchenaid Artisan Mixer for my birthday! Chocolate chip cookies were made, but I saved half the dough and have been eating it raw or several days. I don't feel so good! I had a doctor's appointment on Monday and weighed in at 127 pounds. Allow me to out this into perspective for you: Pre-Jack I was 102 pounds. 9 months pregnant with Jack I was 133 pounds. The days he was born I dropped to 122 pounds. So in two years I've gained 25 pounds! Not good. My doctor says I really need to exercise so I signed up for a running class with Laura and some friends of hers. Hopefully I can drop down to a healthier weight. Right now I'm wearing my jeans unbuttoned and wearing long shirts to cover that.

Speaking of weight gain, Mac the cat is growing nicely. He spends his day staring into the fish tank, biting my toes, eating, and mostly sleeping. He's been an absolute joy to have and we love him so much!

Here is some banana bread I made that rocked!

Warning: Fireplaces & Toddlers Do NOT Mix!

CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For some reason I have a tendancy to set things in the house on fire. Granted it is always by accident, but somehow there is an oven/stove/microwave/etc. on fire at least once a month. Well lately I've been really really careful not to set anything on fire and I was so proud of myself! Unfortunatly, the Fire Gods were displeased with this, so they put Jack up to a little mischief!

My super fabulous and gorgeous friend Summer (who's son is also named Jack so you know she has fantastic taste) sent my Jack these really cool plastic building toys for his Christmas. I opened it early to check it out and Jack saw me do it so he wanted to play with them immediatly. I figured there was no harm in letting him see them and then on Christmas he can reopen it.

Well, after Jack was done playing, he came to the kitchen to let me know so I could help him clean up. We collected the pieces and put them back in the box. Later that night, I decided to watch Stargate and have a nice fire going in the fireplace. We have this wonderful gas fireplace so it's just a flick of switch and instant fire!

After about 2 hours of having the fire going, I smelled something burning. I called Kevin over and we searched all over the house for the burning smell. Finally Kevin open the vents to the fire place (where he got to burn his fingers off in the process) and inside Jack had slipped through the slats two of his pieces to his new toy! Below are picture of the fireplace and the before and after photos of his toys. Needless to say, the fireplace is out of commision until we get the hardware fixed.

Above is what they should look like...

Below is what they do look like (luckily we only lost two!):

And now for some cute pictures that have nothing to do with anything!

Little Pizza Paradise

There is a pizza place here called Little Pizza Paradise that I am in LOVE with. If you are from Reno, you know my favorite pizza place is New Yalk Pizza. It has been for the past 10 years... until last week! I am quite confident Little Pizza Paradise has laced their pizzas with heroine because I am addicted! Jack absolutly loves their pizza as well. In fact, here are some pictures of him sharing some with Mac!

Speaking of Mac, a certain someone was using the restroom the other night and Mac thought the stream of urine was so intriguing that he had to capture it! Poor Mac, he went right through that person's legs and fell right in the toilet of pee! Mac then got a nice shower at one in the morning.

Feety Pajamas

Well, that time of year has come... CHRISTMAS! Although it is my least favorite holiday, it's important to me that Jack has a special Christmas every year. So we got the tree, hung up the lights and stockings, and let the Christmas magic do its thing.

GrAuntie Michele sent Jack the cutest pair of feety pajamas! Jack was a little nervous about the reindeer feet at first, but now he won't take the pajamas off! I had to bribe him with candy to get him to let me unzip them to change his diapers. Today is day 3 of the pajamas, and I'm going to just have to take them off and wash them whether he likes it or not.

So, this morning when I got up and went to the dining room, I noticed that more then half of our ornaments were missing! Since Jack and Kevin were asleep, I knew the culprit could only be the one and only Mac, our new cat. I found all of the ornaments in a secret kitty hiding place throughout the house. Looks like someone hates Christmas a little more then me.
