Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs!

Angus MacGyver says, "MOM!!! Jack just pulled my tail!"

Jack loves his "shuws!" as he likes to calls them. Shuws means "shows" which means a movie. I try to limit the amount of television Jack watches, but about an hour and a half before bed, we let him pick out a movie to watch. Jack likes to stick to a movie for a few weeks at a time before he changes it up. First it was Monster's Inc, then Cars, followed by Toy Story 1 & 2, Madagascar 1 & 2, and so forth. Right now Jack is on a Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs kick and that's the only movie he'll watch. It's actually my new favorite movie, too, so I watch it every night with him. It seriously is an inspirational film! It makes you want to get up a make something of yourself. Anyway, if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it no matter what your age is. It just is one of those movies that makes you feel good.

So, in the movie there are a few suspenseful parts where food is falling from the sky and threatens the townspeople's lives. A spaghetti tornado hits the town and everyone starts to panic. Jack has a love/hate relationship with this part. It scares him that the people are going to get hurt, but he loves buildings being destroyed! So at this part of the movie, he likes to sit in the hall between the office where Kevin is working and the living room where the tv is, and he runs back and forth from Kevin to the hall throughout the rest of the movie. He likes to make sure he has his dad close by for the scary parts. Apparently having me next to him on the couch offers no comfort at all. SIGH!

  1. We just saw that movie for the first time a couple weeks ago. Sky loved it and was upset it was a rental and had to go back. P.S. Great picture of Mac!

  2. How sweet, he was that way in A Christmas Carol when the ghosts were taking Scrooge to a Christmas Future he would hide his eyes then look and say..."Weeeeee......" Oh I miss that little guy so much!
