Finally A Successful Dinner!

Jack just ate his entire dinner! He had baked salmon with dill, lemon pepper, and a side of caramelized carrots (thank you, Barbara!). I am so happy to have finally found a meal he'll eat happily!!!

Stinky Cheese

While I have a few free seconds, I just had to tell all of you about one of Jack's toys. It's this thing that had balls in it and when you hit a button, the balls come flying out. Then Jack grabs the balls and puts them back in the toy. Very fun. Except the other day Muffin was licking the exterior, it smelled funny, and it wouldn't work right. Guess where I found where Jack has been hiding his cheese. Yeah, pretty gross.

Pippa... Pizza... Playdate... I love the letter "P"!

My mom, Jack, and I are getting ready to go over to Will and Pippa's house for a play date. We are bringing pizza over for lunch. Granted they had pizza last night for dinner, but can you ever really have too much pizza? My answer to that is no, no you can't.

Bad Eater

Remember my baby, Jack? The guy who would eat anything? Yeah, not so much the case anymore. For the past few weeks, he has been a terrible eater! Today we made him cheese raviolis which he wouldn't touch. So I added Parmesan. Again, he wouldn't touch. I added alfrado sauce. Guess what he did? He ate the alfrado and left the raviolis!

So, I decided that I would make him something else for lunch. I sliced strawberries and salmon for him. He ate all of his strawberries and threw his very expensive salmon at the dog. I'm like, "Nooooooooooo!" but it was too late. Now all Jack wants is fruit, goldfish crackers (he's so over the graham crackers), Oreos, and peanut butter.

So, Kevin comes home for lunch just now and I tell him what is going on. You know what he says to me? He says, "Well what do you expect when his mom eats nothing but cheese pizza 90% of the time?!" Can you believe that? Just because I'm unhealthy does not mean my tot gets to be! I'm sure this is payback for all the times I wouldn't eat my dinner as a kid.

Ok, so does anyone have any idea what I should do? I don't want him to starve, but he is refusing everything. I can't give him peanut butter and strawberries every day, can I? Help!

Food!

Last night's dinner consisted of cheesy shells, mashed potatoes, cantaloupe, and a brownie for desert. Jack licked his plate clean! It's amazing how much food he can fit into his belly!

Cheese!

Here are a few pictures of Jack from yesterday. He loves swiss cheese (obviously!). And the hand print? Jack fell asleep on his hand and this is what it left. So cute!

Jack Tested, Mama Approved!

10 months old and already scratching his bottom. Such a boy.

These are Jack's Top 5 picks for snacks.

In the number 5 spot, we have Yo Baby Yogurt. Introduced to us by Aunt Liz, this is a healthy snack and Jack loves his once a day. It's organic, healthy, and fills him up.

Number 4, we have Crisps. These can be bought at Costco. They are freeze dried bananas, strawberries, and apples. They are non-messy, healthy, and are easy for tots with only a few teeth to chomp on as they dissolve quickly in the mouth.

For our 3rd favorite, we have Graduates Banana Cookies. Not too healthy, but Jack just melts for them. No mess, tasty, and easy to chomp on. Thanks Aunt Jessica & Muffin for introducing us to these!

Number 2 is graham crackers! Oh how Jack Jack loves his grahams! He could eat them all day every day, and he does.

And our favorite snack of all time is....... O's! There are O's all over the house! The couch, floor, toys, I even found some in his pocket today! He also enjoys storing them in his diaper, although he never retrieves them once they've been hidden.

So, that does it for Jackpot's Top 5 snack choices.
